TThis month we are focusing on color. We see in color but heaven forbid we put it on our walls. Color is not only the easiest way to re-theme a room, but it can also add the warmth, serenity, and vitality to a space.
How to Choose Paint Color
INTRODUCTION
I‘d like to think that over the last decade—through books, web, and TV, I have had a lot to do with helping America get over their fear of color. We see in color; it’s worn on the body, and even on the face…but heaven forbid we put it on our walls. In my book, Christopher Lowell’s Seven Layers of Design, it’s the very first layer. Why? Because it’s not only the easiest way to re-theme a room, but it can also add the warmth, serenity, and vitality to the space that we sometimes expect our furniture to do. By far the most popular questions I get asked are about paint. “Where do I start?” “How do I choose?” Well, those questions and more will be answered in this month's tips.
