Hi Christopher, miss you on Twitter. So glad to hear that you might have a show in the works. I think what is lacking in the shows today, like Nate's (I heard it was canceled), is intamacy. By that I mean I think the reason we all loved your first show is that we felt like we were in the room with you learning somethng from a friend. I personally am sick of shows with stars, (we aren't stars), guests (we have talk shows for that if we want to chat) and going places. I liked the house you had and how you changed it and built things in it and shared some wonderful recipes. Honestly Christopher I think that is what was missing in your webasodes. I wasn't the only one to complain that they were too short. A half hour at least, an hour if we could get what we want. If those mean women can spend an hour tearing each other's hair out, why can't we spend an hour with an old friend who just happens to be the most gifted designer I have ever seen?? You wanted honesty, so I am just being honest. Please keep us updated. Thanks for listening. Judith

I really hope you come back to television! I'm so sick of everytime I turn the canannel to HGTV only seeing "House Hunters". So freakin boring! I want to improve the house I have, not fight w/underwriters on stips to buy something else. Even if I could see your old shows in syndication...anything! I remember being so inspired and learning to look at things in a different and unconventional way. I am not spewing w/that kind of talent so I need a springboard and your show was it. I'm praying the powers that be realize the market for your talent and bring you back. : )

I do not live very close to my sister. We were not able to get together for Thanksgiving and I did not want to miss Christmas with her. I made a decision to send her the money that I would have spent on gifts to her so that she and her son could spend the holiday with our family that lives close to each other. The giftd were small, a couple of heat resistant kitchen spatulas and some homemade cinnamon rolls. But the best part of the holiday was not the gifts at all. It was the time we spent together and the memories we will always remember through the photographs that were taken.

If we put our two cents together, we'll have four! That's the beauty of the entire Occupy movement, it appears that someone has remembered that we are not the enemy and that joining together for the good of our selves, families and communities is where our strength begins.
I have had much time for thought and reflection the past 5 years and know that we have been manipulated by the marketing of interests other than our own into a destructive divisiveness that has hurt so many. I believe that this is the beginning of a new joining together that will take us places we have yet to dream of. We are a strong, adaptable people in this fine country and will continue forging a path of growth and better living for all just as we have since the first settlers came from the oppressive, totalitarian homes they left.
We are not perfect but we are strong, tenacious and tolerant. Our country’s basic principles apply to a positive life for any person and I do believe that the era of selfish, ignorant, foolish dependence on government and corporations is making a noisy exit. We will re-learn to think our own thoughts, make our own choices, speak up and out and take back our responsibility for ourselves, our environment and our communities.
Hope has not been a close companion lately and I have even considered that maybe she was not even a desirable friend as the disappointments following the hope can be very painful. I have been focusing on day to day and not thinking or planning much for the future, hence hope has not danced with me often of late. But today I have hope again, I look at the people sitting in the parks in NY, LA, San Francisco, Sacramento and I believe once again that we can and we will rise to the challenge to not only make a difference for ourselves, but continue to serve the world in both small and large ways.
Thanks for sharing your views, I have enjoyed you for more years than I care to acknowledge! You have a fine mind, a kind heart and a creative soul that you have been so willing to share with us………..thank you!

Christopher, thank you for sharing the evolution of your personal philosophy in these stressful times. I admire the actions you've taken to live in integrity in your life and appreciate the reminder to focus on what is truly important. We spend our energy on frustration, anger and helplessness and waste the moments that make up our lives. We can choose to respond differently, and live happier lives.

Greetings, Christopher! I'm really glad I found you again (searched on a whim, while procrastinating on something else entirely! grin).

You're so right about retail these days. I've nearly given up even looking, and find much more satisfaction (and a happier wallet!) by shopping the "pre-owned" market, in all its marvelous variations - large and small donation-based resale shops; junk (and junque) shops; antique malls; flea markets and consignment stores. As long as you don't need multiple identical items, the selection is marvelous, and the prices not only can't be beat, they're often negotiable!

Tangential rant: Since the economy has been heading 'downhill' for several-to-many years, what on earth are the TV networks thinking, with so many "$75,000 makeover" and "how to buy a new place for half a million" shows and few or no "how to use what you've got" programs??? I miss you (and your Home Dec and Theory compatriots) every time I turn on the box! (rant hat off!)

Bright Blessings (and gentle rain) to you!
